About Angela Roberts Jones - Author, Coach, Counselor, Speaker, Pastor
A mother, preacher, teacher, musician, retired educator, author, motivational speaker, friend and mentor are words that many use to describe her. Through her ministry of preaching and teaching for conferences, revivals, seminars, retreats and community events, etc., many have received healing, deliverance, encouragements, and illumination into the Word, Wisdom, and Will of God. She presently serves as the Senior Pastor of the Greenhill Church and Christian Outreach Ministries in Clarksville, Tennessee. Licensed in 1996 and ordained in 1999 as the first female minister in Greenhill, she now serves as the first female pastor in its 150 year history.
A former Jubilee Singer and 1983 magna cum laude graduate of Fisk University receiving the Bachelor of Science in Music Education, she also earned the Master of Music Degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and the Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. She has also received Professional Life Coach training; earning a certificate through the American Association of Christian Counselors; and is presently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Counseling through Liberty University. In addition to her pastoral duties, she serves in various capacities in her community, inclusive of CEO of The Greenhill Human Development Corporation who sponsors among its several empowerment community and youth programs an annual Back to School Bash providing free school supplies and clothing to hundreds of children and families each year, Founder and President of Women of Purpose Ministry Institute, Board of Commissioners for the Clarksville Housing Authority, 2014 Graduate of Leadership Clarksville, and the Religious Leaders for Fisk Steering Committee Fisk University 2016 Women of Prominence Award. She also serves as the Overseer of the Kingdom Expansion International/Liberia I Care Mission, covering a network of churches in Liberia West Africa, and sponsor of the Angela Roberts Jones Elementary School in Grand Bassa, Liberia, West Africa. In addition, she is the author of the African American History Month Devotional 2014, and the newly released book, Moving Forward: Finding Purpose in Your Pain. She has a passion for training leaders and inspiring faith and hope in others to believe that all things are possible through Christ who empowers us to achieve and succeed. Her aim in life is to Encourage, Equip and to Empower others to fulfill their God-given purpose. She enjoys nature, listening to music, playing the piano, reading and journaling, traveling and going to the movies. She believes that rest, relaxation, and healthy eating with prayer and study of the Bible are also essential to a healthy relationship with God, with others, and self! |
